It's a week since I picked up the Wii, and I can say I'm impressed.
Not the most powerful system alive, but definitely one of the more inventive. Last night Nintendo released the Wii weather channel and I actually don't think I've had that much fun with a weather channel before.
Zelda rocks, Red Steel is impressive, Kirsten's parents are Wii fiends. I've got about 30 Miis wandering around my screen now, and even one of my staff, a die-hard Sony fanboi, is having fun with his Wii.
I'm getting excited about the web browser release, rumoured to be this coming Friday. Hopefully it'll play the documented video format streamed (Quicktime encapsulated MJPEG with MP3 audio), or failing that, it'll play Flash video (which is very similar video format).
Combine that with AJAX goodness delivered from a media server, and a live transcode for video that isn't in the supported format and I'll have a very slick "media centre".
